Buying a refurbished iPhone can have it's benefits over buying new. New phones can have a lot of issues with software, product recalls, and overall quality. Mass production leads to a lack of quality parts and can be aggravating when you spend such a large chunk of money for something that can crash a few hours after purchasing. Refurbished phones can be a more tempting choice because the issues that the new ones may have are mostly taken care of and are significantly cheaper than new as well. As far as the physical condition, the refurbished phone may have scratches or slight wear but the reason for it being refurbished could also happen again depending on how reputable the company refurbishing it really is. You have to do a lot of research into company's especially when it comes to electronics. If not done correctly the phone can be just as bad or worse than before it was repaired. Overall. Refurbished phones can be a generally good choice for persons wanting a certain item and not wanting to pay for the brand new phone that can have just as many issues as the used ones. New phones can be a good thing as well though, the manufacturer offers repair and warranties as well, but can offer sometimes more options than just getting a used refurbished phone. Yes warranties are included in the refurbished ones but sometimes the software hasn't been updated and sometimes they are older than buying an up to date model. You never know for sure what you are getting either way. Myself I prefer refurbished, mostly because the bugs are usually fixed and I don't have to go through the aggravation of having to send the phone in for repair or exchange after I paid $1000 for the new one. Usually the best outcome for refurbished over new is the price difference.complete refurbishment process with multiple tests is done to make sure that refurbished phones work perfectly. Manufacturers and certified dealers are well aware of their credibility, therefore, they don’t sell faulty or damaged phones. Whenever you consider buying a refurbished phone with the reputable dealer, you are assured that you are getting a fully functional phone. Refurbished phones are also good because instead of going into the garbage, they are recycled and save the environment. I definitely recommend buying refurbished phones because I believe that more time was taken into making the phone fully functional and should not have any of the original issues if the manufacturer updates all the issues and makes sure the specs are up to date with the new updates and such. with technology nowadays improving faster than ever quality has also sometimes decreased when it comes to new products. Just like the difference between buying a new car or a used car, used cars usually have been broken in and any issues have been resolved. phones can be just as much of an issue. batterys, screen quality, software issues, case durability, ect are all issues that tend to come up when purchasing a phone. original products can be a benefit though because quality control does go through the process of testing and rejecting or passing the product into the market.

There are plenty of pro's and con's to buying a refurbished iPhone, for example, a con.. It's been used, you don't know if the phone has been reset or what could be on it, like a virus? Who knows? A pro is that it has already been used, and you don't have to pay an enormous amount of money just to get it.. And it won't take long to set up!! Refurbished iPhone's could have viruses, they could have been hacked! They could work just fine, and you don't have to worry about a thing, but then again! Some people are very shady and just do this kind of stuff for the money, not to benefit you! They could just be selling you a phone that doesn't work, or the phone could be just fine! You may not know with a refurbished phone, where as a brand new phone, you would!

A brand new phone, you just go to the store, set up your account, buy your brand new phone take it home and it takes like 3 hours just to set up!! But hey!! At least you don't have to worry if it already has a virus or if you are just getting screwed over, as to there being many pro's and con's to a refurbished iPhone there are plenty of pro's and con's to a very brand new iPhone! Brand new iPhone's, come right from the AT&T, Metro, or even Verizon stores themselves, you don't have to worry that have already been in use, you don't have to worry about the person who is selling it to you, you don't have to worry if they are lying to you or not! It can just be added to your plan and you don't have to pay an enormous amount unless if you got 5 lines on your account! Ha! Whether it is a brand new iPhone or a refurbished iPhone, you can and will still have problems with your phone! Sometimes this problems can't be fixed, and sometimes they can! Sometimes, you can take it back to where you got it from and they can fix it, or you can just trade it in!!

So, let's start with a refurbished iPhone, shall we? Well, here is some of the pro's! 1. It doesn't cost a lot of money, you don't have to go out and buy a whole brand new one, and take like 3-4 hours just to set the entire phone up! 2. The person selling it so you, has already reset it and all you would have to do is put your email in and your name! 3. You don't have to worry about making payments to this person that you bought the phone from, all you have to do is pay the money upfront and never speak to that person again, well unless you are friends with this person! 4. It's pretty cheap, you don't have to pay a lot of money! 5. You can still put it on your phone plans! 6. You don't have to worry about them over charging you, or trying to sell you more things than what you want! You can just buy the phone from them and go!

Now, some con's! 1. It's not guaranteed whether you'll receive other accessories that were originally bundled with the phone, such as headphones. 2. You won’t get the original packaging. Refurbished phones tend to come in plain boxes or nothing at all, the person you are buying it from, could just hand you the phone and nothing else. So you won’t quite have that nice feeling of unboxing a brand new phone, but if you manage to save money on the deal, it might not bother you!! 3. The person you are buying the phone from could have lied about the phone, it could be in really bad shape? Or it could have a bunch of viruses on it, or it could be less value on something original! 4. The phone could be terribly broken, the screen couldn't be accessible, they could have put a code onto it that if they stole the phone, then no one would be able to use it and you could get into trouble for having the phone even though you bought it off of someone else! 5. They could've put a hack into it to where the person knows your every move, what you are doing on your phone! 6. The phone could be blacklisted so if you took it into your provider and they tried to get onto the phone and you would go to jail for having a blacklisted phone! 7. It could not come with everything you would need, like a phone charger!

That is my thoughts, and opinions on buying a refurbished iPhone, but here are the pro's and con's to buying a brand new iPhone!! So let's start with the con's instead of the pro's this time! 1. Buying a brand new iPhone, takes a lot of time out of your day, you could be spending 3-4 hours just setting the whole thing up! 2. It can cause a lot of pain and hassle, you would probably have to put a down payment and have to pay monthly, just to keep the dang thing! 3. When you go to a high end store like AT&T or Verizon or Metro the person selling you the phone, could try to sell you more items just to make your price, higher & higher, when you only came in for one thing! 4. They could mess up and over charge you for something you didn't buy or even want! I could go on & on about the con's to buying a brand new iPhone but we'd be here forever! So, lets get to talking about the pro's to buying a brand new iPhone, shall we?

Pro's! 1. It's your own, you don't have to worry about resetting it or worry about having anyone else's information or worry about any viruses! 2. Going to the store to but it, you can actually get a warranty, or insurance, which usually lasts one whole year! 3. You don't have to worry about it already been used, you don't have to worry about it lagging out!! 4. It has all of your stuff and no one else's. 5. It comes with everything it is supposed to, a charger, the headphones and even a phone case if you wanted!! 5. It isn't destroyed, it's brand new, no scratches or anything!! 6. There are no viruses, it has already been cleaned!

There is a lot to getting a refurbished iPhone, along with getting a brand new phone, it's whatever you would like to do! If you want a brand new phone, you need to just sit down and weigh out what it will be like if you got a new iPhone, see how much this will impact your life financially, or you can always get a refurbished iPhone if you are looking at the cheap route! In my honest opinion I would like to get a brand new iPhone, so that way, it is all mine I don't have to worry about anyone else, and if they have ever used it! I can also get everything I need with it and a warranty! But, the choice is your's!!

Should you buy new or refurbished electronics?

When shopping for an electronic it can some times be a difficult thing to do. Know one wants to get a bad item but sometimes your not sure what to buy. You always want to know that you are getting the best quality for perfect amount that suits you or your family. When you first decided that you would like to buy an electronic there are some thing that you should ask yourself. First you have to that about what kind of electronic do you wish to own. Also if you would like a certain brand of the item you are looking for ? Next you want to think about how much money do you have or that you are willing to spend on that item. Once you have that idea in your mind you want to start thinking about other things that will help you decide on this new electronic. An important question you should as your self is, what type of quality would you like to buy? It could be a used broken electronic for parts, or a working used electronic or a brand new electronic and also a refurbished electronic. What's a refurbished electronic you ask? Well It is like brand new used item. Refurbished electronic were at one point were a broken item, and then it is repaired and the item is tested to make sure that the item is working well. When it comes to shopping with electronics most people probably want their best option for the best price. In my opinion I used to say that new items were always better because you new that you were going to get a great long lasting item that you could have and not have to worried about issues that tend to come with used items. But from another stand point when you do get used items you are usually getting it as a redused price as If you would of have it you bought it brand new. So being that matter the quality of the item could out past the price. But at the same time it also could not and you end up wasting your money. Recently I came among something new. And that was the refurbished electronics that I mentioned above. These items are ,in my new opinion, a better opportunity. These are broken/old used items, witch mean it would cost as much as brand new, but at the same time guaranteed to work. This is like a bundle of the two together. Refurbished electronics might not be brand new but they are very close to it and is most likely more affordable for most people. The refurbished items can come in different packs as well. Some of them can come with extra head pieces or extra memory or an extra accessory for the item you are looking at. When you get items brand new most or the time (some times there are packages) the system or item is sold separately from other add ins that could go to that specific item or items. Electronics have become an important part of our lifes these days and everyone if allways looking for better things

Just try to get the best for your money and get exactly what you are looking for either it it a used item or a new item or a refurbished item, always enjoy what you were looking for. Thank you for reading my article I hope you have a wonderful day.

As a consumer of electronics whether to purchase new or refurbished products is a big question. Typically you pay much less for refurbished products then you do for new ones. However, when you purchase new items you know the warrantee from the company is good, and you have the option to buy additional protection. In addition, in getting new products you also can be certain that no one has worked with the product; so any problem is either a manufacturing flaw or the user—you—simply don’t know what you’re doing.

I personally hesitate when a price is low because I was raised to believe that you pay for what you get. This means, the less you spend, the less you get. So, when looking at at least a fifty percent (50%) price cut; I have to wonder what is wrong with the product or what the catch for paying such a low price is. There may very well be nothing wrong with the product. It may be that the price cuts are to encourage recycling of electronics, to allow lower income individuals and families to afford technology or simply that consumers will not pay more for a product that has been used and supposedly rebuilt to be like new. However, I cannot help but wonder.

The strings attached to purchasing a refurbished product at a low price may not be immediately obvious or clearly posted. Even if the information is readily available I would recommend reading FAQ’s completely before being certain you know what you have to do to complete the purchase of the desired refurbished product. And as I’ve discovered recently—to my own dismay—you may pay a nonrefundable fee before you realize the amount of time and effort that you will personally spend to obtain the refurbished product instead of money. You may be spending much time in activities that include surveys, article writing, trial completion, etc. When considering the strings attached, you have to decide if you have the time and inclination for such activities or if you can save the money up over time and delay the purchase until the funds are available.

A new item on the other hand does costs much more and not everyone has the money to pay the higher prices. I personally typically feel more comfortable in spending the money on a good product; instead of taking my chances with a used rebuilt one. However, if you don’t have the money; buying refurbished may be a good option. I would suggest checking the reputation of the company your receiving the product from before purchasing, but I would suggest this whether you are buying new or refurbished products.

A warrantee is a good thing to have on any major purchase, and some refurbished products do come with a warrantee. Again, the customer must engage in research to determine which option is best for him/her.

Personally I do not typically like to get refurbished products because I don’t trust the low prices. However, I can think of times when I would and do get refurbished products. For example, I currently have a brand new playstation 4, however, I would like to have a second one for the bedroom, so I am investing the little money and much time and effort and obtaining one.

Before deciding on any major purchase a consumer should always examine a company’s reputation, read customer reviews and compare price, warrantee and features. These things should be researched no matter if the products you’re considering are new or refurbished.

New vs refurbished why I buy refurbished electronics

I like many people like to buy new products . I am not opposed to buying refurbished either, most of the time they are just as good as buying new . I have bought many things that have been refurbished . Products purchase this way come with the same warranties as a new product. I have bought vacuum cleaners to game systems and even coffee pots this way . My personal opinion is that they proforme just as well as new product's. I have never had any problems with these products myself and if i did the warranties are honored by the companies you buy them from. Yes many people have been told bad things about buying refurbished goods but it is all just a ploy to get american to buy new . I would recommend it to people myself to save them money on a product that is just as good as the new product. I have got a vacuum that i bought refurbished about 4 years ago and works just fine till this day . I have had friends ask me if the price is cheaper , and I have told them yes ...it may not be that much cheaper but it is discounted . When buying refurbished items make sure you do your research on the products your buying . Most of them have great reviews and recommendations. I myself would turn other people on to buying refurbished items as well . Many years ago I would have said no to buying refurbished if it had not been for a friend showing me that the products was just as good as new . Many people have been persuaded to buy refurbished through social media and ads on television in the past few years. As far as I am considered it may be the best way to buy for a discounted price for the same product. Yes new is nice but refurbished is just as good . My Father is one who who would have had to buy new till i showed him that refurbished was just as good , and the products are the same and work just as well as new products. Today i am writing this article to prove that refurbished items should be reconsidered as a great purchase option in todays market today. Refurbished items do not lack any of the luster new items have most of the time they are items returned to the store cause the consumer didn't want it after purchasing it. As stated most products are new just sold as refurbished cause it has been opened before returned to the store they was bought from. Many consumers make impaulse dissions when purchasing items and return them within a day or to cause they dont want it , which in return makes it a great way for people like me to buy at a discounted price buying refurbished products. I strongly recommend buying refurbished products any day over new. If I could persuade another person to buy refurbished products then our communities and stores would make more money .in other words it is safe to say that buying refurbished products is another way to boost sales of so said products, either way the manufactures of said product is getting paid. Communities flourish and thrive from these sales and people buying refurbished products are happy as well. To buy so said products refurbished such as electronics , hd tv's , game systems , and stereos are much wiser choices in tbe long run for the simple fact your saving money on the products. It means you dont have to wait till you save up your money or even wait for it to go on sale to obtain these product's. The points is refurbished is a better way to buy .

Referb or new is the question
    Timothy B.
    2019-02-10 20:01:00

Is a referbished phone as good as a new one? I would say yes other than maybe a few blemishes like dings and dents. Maybe a few scratches. As long as you get a warranty with the device I don't see any difference. Well one difference is the price. With lower cost you can purchase a phone or what not and have extra money to by useful apps, protective cases, assessories to go with the devices. That only makes sense to me. Most of the electronics I purchase are refurbished and I rarely if never have had to return them for repairs. Where as many new things I have purchased have had to go back for repairs. Nowadays you buy extra insurance sold at the store when you purchase your electronic devices and if you have to send it in for repair most of the time they will just refund your money allowing you to buy another but then you have to buy the insurance if want extra warranty for something that was a warranty issue from the start. I call that double jeopardy. Having to pay again for something that was a warranty issue. Does not make sense. Just because it's new does not mean it is perfect. No one really tested beyond quality control standards. So buying refurbished electronics in my opinion is a much better deal. The item is cheaper and the defects were found and fixed. If you are the kind of person that needs the lasted thing and can not wait awhile than buying new is the only choice. But if you choose to wait and buy refurbished electronics than you not only save money but you get a device that has had the bells and whistles worked out of it already. If you are trying to raise a family like myself money is hard to come by. If you want your children to have phones and other electronic devices and you don't have much money, than referbished is the way to go. It cost so much just to keep phone turned on. Let's say a new phone cost one thousand dollars and the same phone referbished cost only two hundred dollars. That is eight hundred dollars savings. Eight hundred for what ever else you need. The referbished phone and a year's worth of service. Verses that one thousand dollar new phone plus the monthly service charge. So do the math. It makes sense if you have three or four phones and the monthly service charges. I guess if you're rich it doesn't matter but in my mind or poor wasting money is wasting money. I would be willing to bet that most rich people have referbished electronic devices and the poor feel the need for new. Maybe that makes them feel better I do not know for sure. I guess you would have to do a servey on it to find out. The results might be interesting. There is a reason why rich people have money and the poor people have a fancy new phone but no money. People need to be told these things because ignorance is everywhere. And a saying I heard a long time ago: a fool and their money is soon parted. So buy new if you feel that is best suited for you or buy referbished if you feel that is best for you. Me I like to save money where I can so referbished is what I look for. My son wanted this x box and got one hundred dollars for his birthday. We found this referbished unit for thirty seven dollars. We talked about and he thought it was a great deal allowing him to purchase a game or two to go with it. He is really excited about it and can't wait for it to arrive. He has told many of his friends. Some of their parents have contacted me and would like to know if there are any more to be bought. We proudly give them the contact information. They to think saving so much on refurbished electronics is a great idea. It also is good for the environment saving space in the landfills. So that is another great benefit of buying referbished over buying new. Some of the disadvantages of buying refurbished electronics is they are not the latest greatest thing. They are outdated and usually slower than the new. They usually have less storage space. The new device usually has different types of charge cords. So if you have purchased extra cords for your vehicles and such then you have to replace them with the newer cords. The assessories are usually not on the store shelves. So you will have to order them on the internet. But almost always are available at someplace like Amazon or Wal Mart. I really have never run into a problem getting assessories from these places. Things are usually cheaper priced on the internet. You just have to wait a few days for them to arrive. So if you have the time to wait that is another way to save money. If you want the new games and things usually they will only work on the newer devices. Which now adays can be downloaded thru the internet with a charge card. That makes them real convenient to the customer. Saving time and eliminating the need to drive to the store. Another way to save. When I go to the store for a twenty dollar item I usually spend more because I see other things I think I need to buy. So new may be better for some but not always the best for people trying to save money. I guess you have to ask yourself what is the best bang for your buck. New electronic devices if you have the need to have the best thing going. Referbished if you are humble and don't feel the need to keep up with the neighbors. Either way you get something new or at least new to you or your children or who ever you are purchasing the electronic devices for. Saving money is important to me where as I have to buy for more than just myself. So if I can spend the same amount and end up with two or three electronic devices and usually some assessories and games then buying refurbished electronic devices is the answer. One thing about buying new you usually get the newest software more storage, the device will be faster usually you get more time on the battery. Nowadays alot can be done on an iPhone than in the past. It's a phone,TV, computer all built into one unit. It's amazing how things have changed from the old rotary dial phones, TV's you had to get up to change the channels with the dial, and even the gateway computers with the dial up modem that made a bunch of funny noises then several minutes later would connect. They were really slow but at the time were really cool.

In this enormous essay I will be talking about why some people like refurbished game consoles way way better than brand new ones and why some people like brand new ones way way better than refurbished ones. I will be talking about viruses refurbished ones might have and throughout my experiences their are a huge amount of errors or just something wrong with it. I will also be talking about my experience and how my experiences affected me and how I play my games and how it crashes all the time because someone else pretty much broke it or just someone just ruined it.A brand new ps4 would ultimately be better than a refurbished ps4 because there is less of a chance that it will have issues. Their are many differences between A brand new ps4 is be better than a refurbished 4 because there is less of a chance that it will have issues. Also a refurbished ps4 could be ultimately better because I know it has worked before and that someone has played and if it comes with a controller I know that it works and that all the controls work so that I could play any game at all and all the would work. Also I still think that their is a argument that can be made that one is better than the other. The new ps4 can still have some bugs but so can the refurbished one that you bought. I think that the refurbished one could of had a virus even though that where ever you buy it from should of swiped the memory it still could have something completely wrong with it. I also feel like if you buy a new one it has a really unlikely chance to get hacked because I have been reading a lot about how people have be getting their accounts hacked and their money getting spent and they can’t do anything until they get their account back. Also by that time they can spend the more money than they can ever think of. The refurbished ps4’s can break at any time because someone could of messed with it and dropped it so so so many times just like me I drop mine all the time because I just wil pull the remote when it’s charging and im playing a game that I try super hard on like fortnite or gta V online because I get scared or get very very angry that I die and lose the game. I know that I am not the only person that does that so it’s not a bad chance that the owner did the same thing that I did. My personal opinion is that I like brand new out of the package fresh smell ps4s. I do own a refurbished Xbox one though and I have only had one problem with it like it would not turn on. New ones are better because there could be problems with an old one. With a new one. Your sure that you know what your buying will be that brand new ps4. Hopefully what I wrote in this enormously sized paragraph is a good argument that someone could read to decide if they want a refurbished game console or a brand new game console because in my opinion it’s a very hard choice because their are good things and bad things between both kinds of game consoles that you can buy. I hope some one can read this I can make a good decision.

A lot of people would assume and think that since you're getting a brand new system it's the best for your buck but I have bought multiple systems from Walmart GameStop etc without buying a warranty thinking that it would automatically and wrapped it up for a Christmas present months down the road come to find out got my Xbox or PS3 at that time already was broke in the box from the store that's why when I am shopping now I make sure that the system is fully running preferably by your stuff from gamestop so they can test it out on their TVs it's always nice to be thorough then regret a purchase later on down the road but that's with the all aspects of online purchasing. But don't get me wrong online shopping is dangerous because you don't always necessarily know what to scam or not I have bought refurbished phones and lap tops from eBay Amazon with falsification pictures to their profile saying it's a phone and then turns out being a phone case but that's why before you purchase onlinesee if they have an email address that you can send them messages through or a phone number so you can get ahold of those people if your packages don't arrive on time how to spend a lot of time waiting on packages that have been lost in the mail if you do ground shipping make sure you get your package location number and stay in contact with the company you purchased from. There are some pros and cons about buying refurbished systems versus but just remember communication is key help is just one phone call or email away. Don't get confused and misconstrued like this dude I hope you liked my article I'm about refurbished systems versus new systems 9 times out of ten it could be a scam pay closer attention my friends have a God blessed day in my opinion I think that a refurbished system can be just as good as a regular system. My my feelings are things get broke and returned to the company all the time it doesn't mean that it wasn't done where I just meant that he got messed up in shipping and delivering so I've always check out for a refurbished system before I spent all that money on a brand new system. In my opinion I tried to always find a refurbished system first and then if I can't find one I go to the higher quality sytem.I have bought quite a few refurbished systems and they were just as good as the new ones were and sometimes I feel inside of my refurbished system ran better than the than the brand new ones that I bought from Walmart or Best buy or Target. don't get me wrong I like buying new systems to but I know from my years of buying game systems that a refurbished system as can be just as good as a brand new one and it is also got a 2 year warranty backing the quality work on it.I trying to fix a system that you already have does seem that it saves time and money and it's not really a hassle to get it refurbished and replaced in the same few weeks. I do like brand-new systems also but I'm not afraid to use a refurbished one now.I'm not sure really what the ratio is used for many Americans using refurbished to brand new games I would think it would be about the same that not everyone likes refurbished systems they like to have nothing wrong with them at the very beginning when they purchase it. I'm not sure what the ratio is refurbished 10 brand new Bruce is male or female either cuz I'm not sure if females would buy more refurbished things or brand new things. The only really major difference is the quality and the clarification did video equipment that is being played if they're both perfect and it doesn't really matter if it is furbished refurbished or brand new as long as the quality is at high peak working order giving the person who's playing the game against real and enjoyment of doing so.

What can I say about refurbished electronics. Well I can't say a whole lot because I have never bought a refurbished electronic device before. What a minute I have to. I bought my Son a refurbished Play Station three and I paid a pretty good price for it. The damn thing only lasted 3 or 4:months and then it quit. I'm not sure if it my Son's fault or not. He did move it from TV to TV quite a bit. Seemed like he was moving it every other day, and from what I have been told it's not good on them to do that. Or it could have been the way they fixed it to. I guess I will never know. So my confidence is not really that sedgreat about refurbished electronics.

When I was growing up my Mother always told me "You get what you pay for" and to this day I always remember that. If you buy new well then you know what you got, But if you buy used your just getting someone else headache. But when I came across this site it seemed like a pretty good deal, even though I have to do all this other stuff like write this article on refurbished electronics. And all the surveys I had to take just to get it. But I guess it's all worth it, if he gets a few months of enjoyment from it. Then it's worth it to me just to see the big smile on his face and also I know I will gets great big hug as well. Do to me it's worth it. I will just have to tell him you can't move it from TV to TV whenever you feel like it. One TV and that's it, maybe it will last longer than the PlaybStation 3 I bought him. So my confidence in refurbished electronics really isn't that great to begin with. Just hope they fixed it right.

I guess if your buying little stuff that don't cost a whole lot it would be fine to go refurbished rather than new. But I believe if I was going to spend a lot of money on something I would have to say I would buy new. Keeping in mind what my Mother told me so long ago, God rest her soul. Well that's about all I have to say about refurbished electronics. But you know what they say opions are like a&&5#/es everybody has got one. I just hope it's fixed good and we get a lot of use out of it because to tell you the truth he has gotten me liking the damn games now too.

I have heard others talk about refurbished electronics and they all.hsd good things to say about them. They are almost 1/4 to half the price of new items and they said that they haven't had any problems. So I'm thinking it was the way he moved it around so much. Really looking forward to getting it and playing with him on it when he comes over on the weekends give us something to do when it's cold and nasty outside. It's kinda fun I guess. I know he sure gets slick.out of his Play Station 3, Yes I bought him another one but this one was new. He has had it a good little while to identify say a little over a year now.It seems to be doing good.

I'm going to try this refurbished thing one more time keeping my fingers crossed and hope it holds up to the hours of playing time I know he is going to be utting on it

    Renewed Vigor

Personally, I have a major bias when it comes to something new. New isnt always the best scenario. Too many bugs, too much focus on how it looks, too much too much everything. That being said, I willingly admit I am different from the pact, who constantly needs to keep up with the Jones's or feels that new is always better. Look at the "new", and I put that in quotations because let's be honest that nothing has been an original thought since 1998, cars rolling out. They all look the same to me, but the Millenial car enthusiast´s are overwhelmed at the looks, strength and cost of said modern marvel that yesteryear was comprised of steel and gasoline, where as today is plastic and ethonol. Then again, I live in mid Pennsylvania. Where everyone here makes it by because we are careful about spending. So naturally, refurbished is the way to go out here. From our phones, to game systems. Heck, even our boots! We have cobblers who make a killing just redoing soles of boots. We as Pennsylvanians prefer to pay cheap because new has a massive stigma nowadays, and its for some very good reason:

    Cost Effective

We as a society love on a psychological level instant gratification. Prime example would be would you rather make a cheeseburger or buy one? Yes the cheeseburger would be essentially cheaper if you make it, but you have to put in the effort versus I just spend money for them to make it for me so I can pretty much have it now. Same with refurbished or new. Do I want it now when it's been untested to a general public and pay a lot, or wait a bit for it to get reviews and it costs me substantially less?

    Second Hand Marketing

Let's say your friend has a giant bowl of mashed potatoes. One they won't be able to finish. Now the chef has obviously tasted it for quality assurance before serving your friend who gets about halfway before realizing they are done with the bowl. It got cold, a bug flew in or they got sick of potatoes and want somoething different. Well say they give it to another chef who pulls out the bugs and warms it up, all while your friend tells you how good it was and how satisfying it was. Now be honest. Dont you want a taste?

A Little Help From My Friends

Another constant is a need for repair and upgrades. Well, instead of a stranger far away who built or made something they barely could in the first place, there is a person or team whose sole purpose to figure out how it works and make it work better. Most times you can buy direct from the person working on it, so there is a verbal and visual relationship that can be built there even if it is for one time.

    Stigmas Are Dying

One of the major realizations of the last twenty years is a decline in society trusting new products, where are the 80's and 90's it was seen as low class to not pay top dollar for a new product. Now it is becoming quite the opposite. If you paid more than someone today, you are chastised for paying too much.

    Amazing Lifespan

In most cases of said scenario, you are buying second or possibly third hand. For technology to last that long, that's insane. With most built to fail so you have to replace them, duribilty is key. In the refurbished scenario, you are buying something that will last as long as you need, as long as you take care of it.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR BY COUNTRY OR PROVINCE). OTHER THAN AS PERMITTED BY LAW, APPLE DOES NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT OR SUSPEND OTHER RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE, INCLUDING THOSE THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE NONCONFORMITY OF A SALES CONTRACT. FOR A FULL UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR RIGHTS YOU SHOULD CONSULT THE LAWS OF YOUR COUNTRY, PROVINCE OR STATE.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS SUBJECT TO CONSUMER LAW
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. APPLE DISCLAIMS ALL STATUTORY AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN SO FAR AS SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED, APPLE LIMITS THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF SUCH WARRANTIES TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY AND, AT APPLE'S OPTION, THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICES DESCRIBED BELOW. SOME STATES (COUNTRIES AND PROVINCES) DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY (OR CONDITION) MAY LAST, SO THE LIMITATION DESCRIBED ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
Apple Inc. of One Infinite Loop, Cupertino, California, U.S.A. 95014 ("Apple") warrants the Apple-branded iPhone, iPad or iPod hardware product and accessories contained in the original packaging ("Apple Product") against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Apple's published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser ("Warranty Period"). Apple's published guidelines include but are not limited to information contained in technical specifications, user manuals and service communications.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
This Warranty does not apply to any non-Apple branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with Apple hardware. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers, other than Apple, may provide their own warranties to you - please contact them for further information. Software distributed by Apple with or without the Apple brand (including, but not limited to system software) is not covered by this Warranty. Please refer to the licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to its use. Apple does not warrant that the operation of the Apple Product will be uninterrupted or error-free. Apple is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the Apple Product's use.

This Warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with another product; (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple's published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider ("AASP"); (g) to an Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product, or (i) if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product.

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
YOU SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE APPLE PRODUCT STORAGE MEDIA TO PROTECT THE CONTENTS AND AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE OPERATIONAL FAILURES.

Before receiving warranty service, Apple or its agents may require that you furnish proof of purchase details, respond to questions designed to assist with diagnosing potential issues and follow Apple's procedures for obtaining warranty service. Before submitting your Apple Product for warranty service you should maintain a separate backup copy of the contents of its storage media, remove all personal information that you want to protect and disable all security passwords.

DURING WARRANTY SERVICE THE CONTENTS OF THE STORAGE MEDIA WILL BE DELETED AND REFORMATTED. APPLE AND ITS AGENTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE APPLE PRODUCT SERVICED.

Following warranty service your Apple Product or a replacement device will be returned to you as your Apple Product was configured when originally purchased, subject to applicable updates. Apple may install system software updates as part of warranty service that will prevent the Apple Product from reverting to an earlier version of the system software. Third party applications installed on the Apple Product may not be compatible or work with the Apple Product as a result of the system software update. You will be responsible for reinstalling all other software programs, data and information. Recovery and reinstallation of other software programs, data and information are not covered under this Warranty.

Important: Do not open the Apple Product. Opening the Apple Product may cause damage that is not covered by this Warranty. Only Apple or an AASP should perform service on this Apple Product.

WHAT WILL APPLE DO IN THE EVENT THE WARRANTY IS BREACHED?
If during the Warranty Period you submit a valid claim to Apple or an AASP, Apple will, at its option, (i) repair the Apple Product using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (ii) replace the Apple Product with a device that is at least functionally equivalent to the Apple Product and is formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (iii) exchange the Apple Product for a refund of your purchase price.

Apple may request that you replace certain user-installable parts or Apple Products. A replacement part or Apple Product, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by Apple, assumes the remaining term of the Warranty or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you. When an Apple Product or part is replaced or a refund provided, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced or refunded item becomes Apple's property.

    HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE?
Please access and review the online help resources described below before seeking warranty service. If the Apple Product is still not functioning properly after making use of these resources, please contact an Apple representative or, if applicable, an Apple owned retail store ("Apple Retail") or AASP, using the information provided below. An Apple representative or AASP will help determine whether your Apple Product requires service and, if it does, will inform you how Apple will provide it. When contacting Apple via telephone, other charges may apply depending on your location.

Online information with details on obtaining warranty service is provided below.

    WARRANTY SERVICE OPTIONS
Apple will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:

    (i) Carry-in service. You may return your Apple Product to an Apple Retail or AASP location offering carry-in service. Service will be performed at the location, or Apple Retail or an AASP may send your Apple Product to an Apple Repair Service ("ARS") location to be serviced. Once you are notified that service is complete, you will promptly retrieve the Apple Product from the Apple Retail or AASP location, or the Apple Product will be sent directly to your location from the ARS location.

(ii) Mail-in service. If Apple determines that your Apple Product is eligible for mail-in service, Apple will send you prepaid waybills and if applicable, packaging material, so that you may ship your Apple Product to an ARS or AASP location in accordance with Apple's instructions. Once service is complete, the ARS or AASP location will return the Apple Product to you. Apple will pay for shipping to and from your location if all instructions are followed.

(iii) Do-it-yourself (DIY) parts service. DIY parts service allows you to service your own Apple Product. If DIY parts service is available in the circumstances, the following process will apply.

    (a) Service where Apple requires return of the replaced Apple Product or part. Apple may require a credit card authorization as security for the retail price of the replacement Apple Product or part and applicable shipping costs. If you are unable to provide credit card authorization, DIY parts service may not be available to you and Apple will offer alternative arrangements for service. Apple will ship a replacement Apple Product or part to you with installation instructions, if applicable, and any requirements for the return of the replaced Apple Product or part. If you follow the instructions, Apple will cancel the credit card authorization, so you will not be charged for the Apple Product or part and shipping to and from your location. If you fail to return the replaced Apple Product or part as instructed or return a replaced Apple Product or part that is ineligible for service, Apple will charge your credit card for the authorized amount.

    (b) Service where Apple does not require return of the replaced Apple Product or part. Apple will ship you free of charge a replacement Apple Product or part accompanied by instructions on installation, if applicable, and any requirements for the disposal of the replaced Apple Product or part.

    (c) Apple is not responsible for any labor costs you incur relating to DIY parts service. Should you require further assistance, contact Apple at the telephone number listed below.

Apple reserves the right to change the method by which Apple may provide warranty service to you, and your Apple Product's eligibility to receive a particular method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Apple Product cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is not the original country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. Where international service is available, Apple may repair or replace Apple Products and parts with comparable Apple Product and parts that comply with local standards.

    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE; LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS ON CONTRACTS); LOSS OF THE USE OF MONEY; LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, COMPROMISE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA; OR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE HOWSOEVER CAUSED INCLUDING THE REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH THE APPLE PRODUCT OR ANY FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION STORED ON THE APPLE PRODUCT.

THE FOREGOING LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS, OR ANY STATUTORY LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL AND GROSS NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS. APPLE DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY iOS DEVICE UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR REPLACE THE APPLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS OF INFORMATION STORED IN THE APPLE PRODUCT.

SOME STATES (COUNTRIES AND PROVINCES) DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

    PRIVACY
Apple will maintain and use customer information in accordance with the Apple Customer Privacy Policy available at www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/privacy.

    GENERAL
No Apple reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired. This Warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of the country in which the Apple Product purchase took place. Apple or its successor in title is the warrantor under this Warranty.
